Montmartre Cemetery, the third largest in Paris, dates to the early 19th Century with burials continuing to the present. It is smaller and much more manageable than Paris' two larger, much-more well known, cemeteries. Many of Paris' intellectual, artistic, business and political elite are buried here. Interments include Hector Berlioz, Edgar Degas, Alexandre Dumas, Hector Moreau, Vaslav Nijinsky, Jacques Offenbach, Francois Truffaut.
