Winters along the ocean in the Venice/Santa Monica neighborhoods of L.A. are characterized by very low tides revealing a wide stretch of flat, hard-packed sand. It's an amazing and grand public space. While I have many other good photographs of this stretch of real estate in all its many moods, my effort in developing this years-long "random moment" series is that each photograph include a significant and interesting human component. Also, I am always, always barefoot in this space and look for others who are likewise.
